better!

i guess it was probably a 24-hr thing, but tonight was fun! i went out with the biblestudy girls to bahama breeze for amy's birthday. the food was good, and the company was better. here are a few pics from the night:allison, becky, amy (birthday girl)

sick

today was my day off for the week, and i was sick the whole time. it's the yucky kind of sick too, where you just hurt everywhere... everywhere. my head, my neck, my back, my stomach, my arms, legs, moving, laying still, breathing... it all hurts :-(

so i rested on the couch all day long watching dvr-ed episodes of ncis.

andrew came home an hour early, but other than that, i was all alone. i didn't even have the energy to let the dogs run around the house. but when andrew got home, he let them out, and chloe did this:
she's a cute puppy, huh? and yes, she is still technically a puppy for almost 3 months.

taking inventory

have you ever come to a place in your life where you take a step back and try to figure out where you are?

on paper i have LOTS:
1 husband
3 dogs (who weigh over 230 lbs collectively)
1 house, under continuing renovation
2 cars, which both run!
a job - in a field i did not study, which pays an hourly wage
minimal debt (compared to most americans)

so why do i feel so lost and confused, like i'm not doing anything or going anywhere?

sunshiiiiiine!

i think part of the reason i haven't been into blogging is that it's been cloudy and cold and GROSS for weeks! but this weekend it was sunny and beautiful, and the temperature was PERFECT! i didn't take any pictures because i was busy enjoying it.

let's see... recently andrew and i have started going to a different church, north raleigh church of the nazarene, eaten lots of donuts from daylight donuts, i've started singing at church, we're beginning a new book in my ladies bible study group, i've have LOTS of good days and a few tough days at work, the dogs have gotten sick and gotten better, we've gone to birthday parties and baby showers, we've been continuing to work on the house (slooooowly), and life's been overall pretty crazy! here's a pic of andrew working on the wainscoting in the hallway for your amusement - i totally helped. eventually, it'll be finished... and white.
