well, i dropped the ball on this blog bigtime, but i've been SO busy! since tess and i are both home sick, i thought i'd give you a quick update (quick though, because apparently sick tess = no sleep tess), and the steroids make her crazy!
so tess did great at grandma lynn's house that night, and andrew and i got to enjoy a much needed night to ourselves - we went to a christmas party out at the barn and then got a night without a baby monitor. we can't wait to do it again! don't get me wrong, but it's nice to be married and not have to care for your child every once in awhile too! then we had christmas, and everyone came over to our house instead of making us travel around a toddler's naptime, which was great. we also had nana stay over one night, so that andrew and i could have another date (this time allll alone out to the melting pot!). then we had new years at a friend's house and took tess to spend the night... the night was fun, but as soon as we went to bed, tess woke up every hour, so we left early that morning and drove home to try and sleep it off.
i actually took the week between christmas and new years as vacation, so although i worked christmas eve and jan 2, i had a nice long break, when andrew was also off, for the first time in over a year. it was awesome. neither of us ever wanted to go back to work again. why aren't we independently wealthy?
well, my child has beckoned me to come sit with her, so that's all i have time for now!
